Derringer confronting Hope at the end of Episode 2

Story[]
In Episode 1, he goes to Hope's dorm room to take her away for Recalibration.
In Episode 2, he brutally murders Señor Luis Octavo (A.K.A. The Librarian.), after the Headmaster found out he distributed Zager's altered manifestos. Upon learning this, the Headmaster ordered Derringer to kill him. Once Hope finds out, she cries for a while and realizes the wickedness of the Derringer and the Headmaster.
In Episode 3, he detains three Prizrak, including Cooper, who were framed for crimes by Hope and the Player. He then later detains Hope just after she reaches the "surface".
In Episode 4, Derringer threatens Mirror 390 over an intercom after she shuts down Terminus' water supply , mistaking her for Abal Ammash and Noam Peretz.
In Episode 5, he brings the real Hope to Treglazov. Right before she is to be executed by Treglazov, the revived Zager interrupts them on the video screens. He sets off a large number of pre-planted explosives, at which point Derringer escorts Treglazov to safety, leaving Hope alone to escape once again.
Shortly after Hope shuts down Terminus' cooling system making it overheat, Derringer arrives at the top of Terminus. He threatens to kill her, slamming her to the floor and violently snatching her phone, staring at the player saying: “You don't wanna watch this....".
Before he strikes the killing blow, Hope (depending on whose path she chose at the beginning of the episode) will either use the degausse gun from Mireille's path to taze him, or the plastic gun from Zager's path to shoot him (twice). His weak heart failling, Derringer then mutters: “Useless... yooouu... shhould see... yourself." He then falls off the top of Terminus and dies in the water below.
Trivia[]
•The irony of the shooting death is that Derringer tried to kill Zager with two bullets, previously, whereas Derringer suffers that fate through either the player's or Hope's choice with Zager.
